‘Tis the Season to be Jolly
It’s better to give than receive.
A friend of mine posted the following letter on Facebook last week. Please give it a quick read:
Christmas is the time for giving and sharing so this note is a nice reminder to all landlords. Sometimes a great relationship with a tenant is as important as the rent they pay. I often suggest to my landlords that they stop by to see their tenants at this time of year and perhaps give them a little gift.
I also recommend not increasing the rent every year by the allowable small percentage if the tenants have been good and have always paid their rent on time. A $25 increase in rent is likely going to affect them much more than it will you. It is another small gesture that can go a long way.
